Tax-Samadhan is a small, virtually delivered advisory practice. That shapes the work more than any statement of values could: nobody is carried, every file is reviewed by a second person before it leaves, and the person who drafts a position is usually the person who has to defend it.
There are no openings at present
This is stated plainly because the alternative is worse. Firms that keep evergreen job adverts running collect applications they have no intention of acting on, and applicants spend an evening on a covering letter for a role that does not exist.
Tax-Samadhan has no vacancy open on the date this page was last updated. Speculative applications are still welcome and are read. If your background is close to work the firm expects to take on, you will hear back and your details are held for future consideration. If it is not, you will be told that, which is more useful than silence.
What the work actually involves
Engagements run against a written scope agreed before work starts. That scope is the reference point for every argument about what was and was not included, which means the drafting of it matters as much as the delivery.
Most of the work is documentary. Reconstructing a GSTR-2B reconciliation across four quarters. Reading a Section 148 notice against the assessment record before anyone drafts a reply. Building a cash forecast that a lender will question line by line. It is detailed work with a defined answer at the end, and it is checked.
Delivery is remote. Client meetings happen on video, files move through controlled channels, and the working day is Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 18:30 IST. Overseas clients are served inside those hours wherever the time zones allow, and by arrangement where they do not.
How the firm hires
-
Application
CV and a short covering note by email or through the form below. The covering note matters more than the CV format. Tell us what you have actually done, not what your team did.
-
Acknowledgement
Every application is acknowledged. If there is nothing suitable, you are told at this stage rather than left waiting.
-
Technical conversation
A working discussion, not a quiz. You will be asked how you would approach a real situation, what you would ask the client, and where you would stop and escalate.
-
Written exercise
A short, paid exercise on a sanitised set of facts. It exists because advisory work is writing, and writing cannot be assessed in an interview.
-
Offer and terms
Compensation, working pattern and notice period are discussed openly before an offer is issued. Nothing is left to be discovered in the appointment letter.
What the firm commits to
- Every application acknowledged, including unsuccessful ones.
- The written exercise is paid at an agreed rate, whatever the outcome.
- Remote delivery, so location is not a barrier to being considered.
- Defined working hours, published and applied to staff as well as clients.
- Second-person review on every client deliverable, so nobody is exposed alone on a technical position.
- Scope agreed in writing before an engagement starts, which is what makes reasonable hours possible.
What the firm does not offer
- No published salary bands. Compensation is discussed once the role and level are clear.
- No formal internship or articleship programme at present.
- No relocation assistance.
- No guarantee that a speculative application will lead to a role, now or later.
Nothing on this page is an offer of employment or a representation about terms. Benefits not listed above are not offered, and a benefit is added to this page only once the firm has committed to it.
Who tends to fit
People who are comfortable saying “I do not know yet, and here is how I will find out.” People who read the section before quoting it. People who would rather deliver a narrower piece of work well than a broad one loosely.
Backgrounds the firm expects to draw on include chartered accountancy, indirect tax, direct tax litigation support, valuation and financial modelling, and accounting operations. Part-qualified candidates with real file experience are considered on the same basis as qualified ones.
