This website is built to be usable with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at high magnification, and with animation switched off. This statement says what standard we hold the site to, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
1. Our commitment
1.1 TAXSAMADHAN CONSULTING PRIVATE LIMITED, trading as Tax-Samadhan, CIN U74120UP2022PTC167960, registered office 19/201, Sundram Khand, Sector 19, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh 201012, India, aims to make tax-samadhan.com and the documents we issue usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
1.2 Accessibility is treated as a build requirement rather than a later correction. It is checked before a page is published, not after a complaint.
2. Standard we work to
2.1 We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
2.2 We also have regard to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and to the general principle that information a business publishes should be reachable by the people it is published for.
2.3 Our current position is partial conformance. The site is built to the standard and tested against it, but the limitations listed in section 5 mean we do not claim full conformance today.
3. What we have done
3.1 Structure and semantics
- One heading level one per page, with headings in strict descending order and no level skipped, so a screen reader user can navigate by structure.
- Landmark regions for header, navigation, main content and footer, and a skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Semantic elements for lists, tables and quotations rather than styled containers. Data tables carry a header row with scoped column headers.
- Page titles that identify the page before they identify the site.
- The page language declared, so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
3.2 Colour and typography
- Every text and background pair is checked against the WCAG contrast thresholds — 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text — and verified in a review pass rather than assumed.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed. Links are underlined, states carry a label or an icon as well as a hue.
- Text resizes to 200% without loss of content or function, and reflows to a single column at 320 pixels of width without horizontal scrolling.
- Body text is set at a comfortable measure and line height, and typefaces are served from our own domain so they render without a delay or a fallback flash.
3.3 Keyboard and focus
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, in an order that follows the visual layout.
- A visible focus indicator is present on every focusable element and is not obscured by sticky headers or overlays.
- No keyboard trap. Dialogs and the cookie banner return focus to the element that opened them when dismissed.
- Nothing requires a hover, a drag or a multi-point gesture to operate.
3.4 Motion and time
- Section reveals, sticky sequences and hover effects are disabled entirely when the browser reports
prefers-reduced-motion: reduce. - Nothing flashes more than three times in a second.
- No content auto-plays, auto-advances or auto-refreshes, and no session times out without warning.
3.5 Images and media
- Illustrations are original vector artwork rendered as code, not photographs of text.
- Alternative text describes what an image conveys, not what it looks like. Decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.
- Icons that carry meaning have an accessible name; icons that repeat adjacent text do not, so nothing is announced twice.
3.6 Forms, cart and checkout
- Every field has a persistent visible label, not a placeholder standing in for one.
- Required fields are marked in text as well as visually, and expected formats are stated before the field, not after a failure.
- Errors are announced to assistive technology, listed at the top of the form, linked to the field concerned, and written in plain language that says how to fix the problem.
- Form protection uses a hidden field and a timing check on our own server, so there is no third-party captcha to defeat a screen reader or a motor impairment.
- Before payment, the order is shown for review and correction, and the totals including GST are presented as text.
4. How we test
4.1 Automated checks run against every template for contrast, heading order, landmark structure, form labelling and alternative text.
4.2 Manual checks cover keyboard-only navigation of every page and the whole purchase path, magnification to 200% and 400%, reflow at 320 pixels, and operation with a screen reader on both a desktop and a mobile browser.
4.3 Accessibility is re-checked when a template changes, when a new page type is added, and at least once a year.
5. Known limitations
5.1 We would rather list these than claim they do not exist.
- The Google Maps embed on the contact page is third-party content whose accessibility we do not control. The registered office address is published as text next to it, so no information is available only inside the map, and the map loads only if you consent to it under the Cookie Policy.
- The payment gateway takes over the final step of checkout on its own pages. Its accessibility is the provider’s responsibility. If you cannot complete a payment there, tell us and we will invoice you directly and take payment by bank transfer.
- PDF deliverables. Reports we issue are produced as tagged PDFs with a reading order and document structure. Spreadsheet deliverables carry header rows and named sheets, but complex multi-sheet models are difficult to make fully screen-reader friendly. Section 7 explains what we will do instead.
- Third-party documents. Portal acknowledgements, statutory forms and documents produced by others are passed on as we receive them and may not be accessible. We will describe their contents to you on request.
6. If something does not work
6.1 Tell us. Email info@tax-samadhan.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line, or call +91 7303967800 between 09:30 and 18:30 IST, Monday to Friday.
6.2 It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what device, browser and assistive technology you were using. It is not a problem if you cannot.
6.3 What we commit to:
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| Acknowledgement of your report | 2 business days |
| Assessment, with a fix or a workaround | 10 business days |
| Content supplied in an alternative format | 5 business days |
7. Alternative formats and alternative routes
7.1 Any page on this website is available on request as plain text, as large print, or read to you over the telephone.
7.2 Any deliverable can be supplied in an alternative format at no additional charge — plain text, a large-print PDF, a structured spreadsheet in place of a formatted one, or a spoken walkthrough on a call.
7.3 Anything the website does can be done another way. An engagement can be scoped, agreed, delivered and paid for entirely by email and telephone, without using the shop, the cart or the account area at all.
8. Escalation
8.1 If our response does not resolve the problem, raise it under the Grievance Redressal Policy. The Grievance Officer’s contact details are published there, in the Privacy Policy and in the Terms & Conditions.
9. Status of this statement
9.1 This statement was prepared on the effective date shown at the head of the page, on the basis of our own testing of the live site. It is reviewed when the site changes materially and at least annually.
